What's coming up?
Right now, I'm busy with a number of projects: a couple of commissioned non-fiction book projects involving IT and security and financial services (and you thought that At the Sharpe End was pure fiction?).
However, a lot of my emotional and creative energy went into the production of the National Novel Writing Month competition – 50,000 words in a month. I managed it OK!
I've elected to write a prequel to Beneath Gray Skies, which is interesting. You can’t really change the characters or the plot too much if you've alluded to them in the first book, and it's quite fun retrospectively fitting the story together. I feel a bit like George Lucas, even though Brian Finch-Malloy is not really Luke Skywalker (someone did describe him as a "1920s James Bond", though.
