Talk on independent publishing
I went down to Osaka by overnight bus to talk to the SWET Kansai group about independent publishing and how to make it work for writers who want to publish their own work. About two dozen people turned up, and they were a great crowd, full of insightful questions. A good time was had by all, I think.
Reading/signing
About a dozen people turned up to listen to me read from the book and explain something about how I'd written and published it. It was a great evening, with good food and drink provided by Lauren and her team.

Book Launch – Tokyo
Pink Cow, Shibuya, Thursday 26 August, 7pm onwards
This was a success - although only about 25 - 30 people showed up. Chiharu's band played excellently, and Chris Young's videos were well-received. I enjoyed doing the readings, and other people seemed to enjoy them too. Mark Schreiber (who reviewed the book for the Japan Times) took the pictures here (click to enlarge):
